Team SA fought off competition from the USA and five other countries.

They successfully argued over a mock case about crimes against humanity, deportation and forceful transfer.

It was an emotional moment for the parents, teachers and friends that cheered on the girls upon their arrival.

Sureshka Naidoo and Caitlin Schwarer from Eden College in Durban say this was a trip to remember.

Naidoo said to never shy away from hard work. "Hard work pays off, the moments when you feel like you can't do anything when you feel like you're at rock bottom. If you continue to work hard for your dreams, you can achieve anything."

Schwarer said it is important to seize the opportunity, "I think just take every opportunity that comes your way because people will like put in the work for you and they'll try to help you. So I think to take those opportunities when

you get them because you'll get to go to places like Berlin"

Nondumiso Ntshangase and Nosipho Dube from Mathebesizwe High School in Illembe District, say they plan to pursue a career in law after school. "Anything is possible, especially if you are a black girl you can do whatever you want to do, I'm very happy and so proud of myself. This is the dream," said Ntshangase

Dube says she felt honoured by the hero's welcome, "I'm so happy that I got a hero's welcome and I'm looking forward to my future, where I will be studying law. This has groomed me to like law more and I'm going to be a commercial lawyer."
