LISTEN: Henri van Breda handed three life terms for family murder
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Convicted murderer, Henri van Breda has been handed three life sentences for the murders of his parents, Theresa and Martin and older brother, Rudi.

He has also been given an additional 15 years for the attempted murder of his teenage sister, Marli.
In prior court proceedings, the Western Cape High Court dismissed his version of the morning of the attack that an intruder was responsible for the murders.
During today's sentencing proceedings, Judge Siraj Desai told the court that no explanation was given as to why he had killed his parents and brother.
Judge Desai detailed the extent of the injuries inflicted, saying it was a 'cold blooded murder where violence was excessive, gratuitous and intended to cause harm.'
Desai added that Van Breda showed no remorse for the crimes.
