Heavy rains bring relief to drought-stricken Jozini
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
A resident from Jozini in northern KZN feels mother nature could finally be loosening her grip on the area when it comes to the drought.
Nosipho Mabiya says it began raining on Tuesday this week - with downpours becoming stronger in the evenings.

Mabiya says they experienced their heaviest rainfall this week.

She says community members been collecting rainwater in buckets - adding that their tanks are now full. She's hopeful the rains don't stop abruptly.
"The situation is better because now there's grass for goats and cows to eat. In 2015 there was none. Since the rains it's been better. At the moment it is hot, but the drought is better and we have water," she said.
