Heavy rain forecast for KZN's coastal areas
Updated | By Portia Cele
It's a wet start to the weekend for the province's coastal towns.
The SA Weather Service says downpours are expected along the KZN coast - with chances of localised flooding from this afternoon.
Heavy rains have been forecast from Port Edward on the south coast to the north coast's Kosi Bay as well as inland.

The service's Aslam Sardiwalla says there's an alert for severe thunderstorms over the north-western areas of the province.
"We're expecting the possibility of heavy rain overall along the coastline on KwaZulu-Natal as well as the adjacent interior particularly in the afternoon extending into the evening. This could be associated with localised flooding and even flash flooding in places depending on the intensity of the rain in any given location in those parts," he says.
