Heavy downpours, thunder expected in KZN

Weather forecasters are closely monitoring an approaching storm set to lash KwaZulu-Natal's western parts.
They're appealing to residents to please be cautious, as they prepare for its impact later today.
The SA Weather Service's Thandiwe Gumede says hail excessive lightning and strong damaging winds are expected in the region.

"We are expecting 60% chance of showers and thunder showers over the western parts of.
“Then for the remainder of the province we are expecting 30% chance over the western parts, we also have an alert for severe thunderstorms, severe thunderstorms might be accompanied by heavy down pours leading to flooding.
"Those thunderstorms are expected to come through from this afternoon and persist up until this evening."
