Hawks probing motive in Durban officers' murder
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal say they are now working on establishing the motive behind the killing of two eThekwini metro police officers in Phoenix this week.

This following the arrest of three suspects in KwaMashu, north of Durban this morning.
Police raided their hide-out spot, and a shoot-out then ensued.
Two of the suspects are in police custody and the third is said to be in hospital under police guard.
Constable Nomasonto Mhlanga and Inspector Zephenia Dladla were stationed outside ward councillor Sthe Zulu's house, when they came under attack.
"The one that shot at police was found in possession of a 9mm pistol. Two firearms were also found in the house. At this stage, they will be linked to the murder of the police officer," spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo said.
Mhlongo says the motive will only be established once the investigation has been finalised.
Meanwhile, a memorial service for the officers is held at the Durban's City Hall.
