Two officers gunned down in Phoenix
Two Durban Metro Police officers have been shot dead in the Phoenix area, north of the city.
The officers, a man and a woman, had been trying to protect a councillor when they were attacked last night.
Metro spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersad says the incident occurred outside the councillor's home.
"Details are unknown at the present related to what really happened. However, they were in a marked police vehicle when they were shot."
