Hawks hope for more breakthroughs in KZN chief's murder

Crime fighting unit, the Hawks, is hoping to net more suspects as investigations into the murder of a prominent KZN chief - intensify.

One suspect made a brief appearance in the Eshowe Magistrate's Court yesterday.
He arrested on Friday. Chief Linda Mathonsi - a respected leader in the Mandeni community - was killed two years ago while driving with his daughter in Sundumbili near Mandeni.
Hawks spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says the suspect's been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Mhlongo says the case was postponed to the 22nd of this month.
