Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The Hospital Association of South Africa says it's always supported universal access to healthcare, but signing the NHI Bill into law would be a mistake.

It has added its voice to growing concerns from medical organisations, civil society groups, and opposition parties that fear the proposed legislation will fail in its current form.

"We have consistently supported universal healthcare and for years I have contributed research and expert insights from our managers who have operated in systems of universal healthcare.
