Monday
marks the signing of the National Health Insurance Bill into law, and more and
more groups are coming forward to express their disappointment.
The proposed NHI legislation is aimed at ensuring universal coverage for health services.

Business Unity SA's Khulekani Mathe says they're prepared to head to court.

"This version will hamper rather than promote access to quality health
care for all citizens in our country.
"It is essential we get the NHI right through all means still at our
disposal.
"Including appropriate legal intervention that the legislation is finally
implemented is in the best interest of our country."
The Board of Healthcare Funders and the SA Medical Association have also
indicated legal challenges.
