Harry Gwala Mayor, Mluleki Ndobe has thanked the ANC leadership for its support.
This after charges of murder - leveled against him last week in connection with the Sindiso Magaqa case - were dropped yesterday due to insufficient evidence.
He and three others appeared in the Umzimkhulu Magistrate’s Court. Asked outside court if the party’s secretary-general had asked him to step down, Ndobe said he had not.

"No, he didn't but we have been communicating. Actually, I must take the opportunity and thank the ANC leadership, NEC and PEC members who have given me support, and all the branches of the ANC and the society at large. I am really humbled with the support that I have received."
Meanwhile charges against Zweliphansi Skhosana were also dropped.
