Supporters of former eThekwini Municipality Mayor, Zandile Gumede say they will continue to back her, claiming she is a victim of a political agenda.
Gumede and her 15 co-accused appeared in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court yesterday.
They are facing fraud and corruption charges relating to a 2016 Durban Solid Waste Tender.

The court heard yesterday that over 389 million rands were paid out to companies for services that were never rendered to the municipality.
Outside court, Gumede's supporters spokesperson, Mzomuhle Dube say the fact that the state keeps asking for adjournments shows that they do not have any evidence against her.
"For me, it has never been a poor incident, it has always been a clear political ploy that seeks to tarnish her image and ridicule her."
