It's alleged security guards noticed a vehicle parked across the street near Musa Thwala’s home in Madadeni on Monday.
KZN police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the occupants attacked the security officials who were standing on the road.
One of the guards were killed, whilst another was injured and taken to hospital.
