Party agents are on the ground at the Lamontville Ward 69 Zoe Bible church poll making sure there is a fair and smooth voting process.

The number of community members queuing up has now picked up.

About 1 714 who are on the voters roll are expected to come and cast their vote in this ward.

Democratic Alliance, Inkatha Freedom Party, African National Congress and Economic Freedom Fighters posters can be seen outside the gate of the voting station.

A 'No mask no entry' policy is adopted - strictly not allowing no one without a mask to gain entry.

Earlier a municipal light motor vehicle was seen doing the rounds with an announcement speaker encouraging and reminding the community to come out and vote.

A community policing forum and SAPS vehicles have also been patrolling the area.

Police Minister Bheki Cele is also expected to cast his vote in different ward here in Lamontville.
