Govt scraps load shedding state of disaster

But the move, which government insisted was aimed at resolving the electricity crisis in a speedy manner, was met with some opposition.

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse filed court papers to have the decision reversed.
OUTA's Wayne Duvenage says they have been in court for the last month and a half.
"We are pleased that government has reversed that decision on the state of disaster. It was quite frankly the wrong decision to have made, all the mechanisms are in place to deal with the electricity emergency at the moment."
