Gov intensifies crime intervention in northern KZN

Rampant auto theft and cross-border crimes in uMkhanyakude have prompted the government to intensify crime-fighting efforts in the northern KZN district.
Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube has announced a number of interventions, following the murder of activist - Judah Mthethwa.
He was assassinated at his home in Manguzi last week.
The measures include upgrades to the Manguzi police station, the deployment of more law enforcement teams and vehicles, and the establishment of a mobile police station.
Dube-Ncube was speaking at Mthethwa's funeral held over the weekend.

Criminals have turned this community and the country into their playground.
They decide when a person lives and dies. It's not God's decision anymore, basically, our lives are in their hands. So we find no rest when a community soldier like Mthethwa's work is not completed.
