German tourist death: No foul play

The death of a German tourist in the KZN South Coast has been confirmed to have been of natural causes.

Sixty-six-year-old, Gerhard Kramert was found dead at the Margate Country Club on 7 March.
Initial reports from Netcare911 claimed that, Kramert was assaulted, sustaining severe head trauma.
Police have now confirmed that no foul play was involved.
The post-mortem shows that the man died of natural causes.

“There were no visible injuries on the man and so an inquest docket was opened,” explained captain Nqobile Gwala.
“I did indicate at the time that no foul play was suspected and this was subsequently confirmed by the pathologist, who ruled this a natural cause of death," Gwala added.
