GALLERY: Police seize counterfeit goods worth R67 million in Pinetown

Durban Metro Police investigations are continuing after officers confiscated illicit goods in Westmead said to be worth R67 million.

Metro Police spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersadh says teams made the discovery earlier this week, while questioning undocumented foreign nationals.

"Members from the Queensburgh area have been involved in the operation. It was an ongoing operation in a warehouse in Westmead where they uncovered more than R67 million worth of counterfeit goods," he says.
He says among the fake goods were skin-lightening creams, clothing and other products bearing the names of well-known brands.

Sewpersadh says several people were taken in for questioning
