Murdered Kavitha Nerputh told cops she was being stalked and begged for protection: Friend

A close friend of a Pietermaritzburg woman found murdered in her locked car, says Kavitha Nerputh was wracked with fear days before her death.
Shiloh Woodarajh says the 41-year-old businesswoman had previously mentioned being stalked and that she feared for her and her children's safety.

Nerputh, who was strangled in Scottsville on Monday, was laid to rest on Wednesday.
Woodarajh says her family's battling to come to terms with her death.
"I stood by her and helped her in her case and saw what she went through on a daily basis with harassment and death threats. It was just too shocking."

"And then especially since she was at the police station on Sunday, begging them for protection. Nobody knows the details about it, and I also spoke to her daughter, and she says that her mom was just so scared the whole of Monday."
