Fuel prices increase in September
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe has announced September's fuel price adjustments and South Africans are going to be digging a little deeper into their pockets.
September's adjustments kick in at midnight.
"The Rand depreciated on average against the US Dollar from 14.05 to 15.15 Rand per dollar during the period under review. This led to a higher contribution to the Basic Fuel Prices on petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin by more than fifty cents."
Petrol will increase by 11 cents a litre, while diesel users will be paying 26 cents a litre more.
