'Free Bonginkosi Khanyile' march in Durban tomorrow
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
149 days: that's how long DUT student and fees protester, Bonginkosi Khanyile, has been in custody for - since his arrest in September last year.
Khanyile was arrested during violence student protests at the institution - demanding free education.
Fellow students who called a media briefing in Durban today believe Khanyile's lengthy time behind bars is unjust.

They are planning a 'Free Bonginkosi Khanyile' march in the city tomorrow.
Sthembiso Kashandu says they've exhausted all known avenues to have him freed.
"We have applied for bail in the Magistrate's Court two times - and bail was denied on absurd reasons. We then appealed to the High Court, and it was still denied. We never rest, and continued to make an appeal to the Supreme Court, and it was dismissed on the basis it was not an urgent matter," he said.
He says their last hope is to make an appeal to the Constitutional Court.
