KZN police have launched a manhunt for armed robbers who killed a woman at an estate in the Nottingham Road area in the Midlands.
Police say the robbers broke into Christine and Roger Solik's home at the Bend Country Estate on Friday morning.
SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane, says 57-year-old Christine and her 66-year-old husband were assaulted - before they were both kidnapped.

He says their neighbour called police after noticing that their home had been broken into.
"When the police arrived, they noticed that there were some bloodstains inside the house, and the house was upside down. The couple were nowhere to be found, and it was suspected they were kidnapped - as their vehicle was also missing," he said.

Zwane says later that day, police found Christine's body in a river about 70 kilometres away from their home.
But he says they are still searching for Roger Solik. The family has posted a message on social media appealing for Roger's safe return, saying the father - who has Parkinson’s disease - needs to take his medication daily.
