Man gets life sentence for killing PMB cab driver

A Pietermaritzburg man has been sentenced to life after being convicted for the murder of a metered taxi driver.
The Pietermaritzburg High Court slapped Sihle Myaka with life plus 45 years imprisonment.
KZN National Prosecuting Authority's Natasha Kara says in 2021, the victim, Nkululeko Jili, was lured by Myaka to the Copesville area while operating the taxi.

He was robbed, shot and killed.
Myaka fled the scene and was arrested a month later.
"Myaka was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and 15 years imprisonment each for the robbery with aggravating circumstances and firearm-related charges. He will serve an effective term of life imprisonment."
