Four arrested at Glebelands Hostel
A suspect, arrested at Umlazi's notorious Glebelands Hostel, is due to appear in the Umzinto Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and business robbery.
KZN police say they carried out a search at the complex on Sunday as part of efforts to bring down crime levels there and clamp down on illegal weapons.
"The suspect was arrested in the same hostel after police received information that there was a suspect who was wanted for murder as well as business robbery that took place at Umzinto. The suspect was hiding at Glebelands Hostel. Members proceeded to the hostel and he was arrested," he says.
Meanwhile, three other suspects were arrested, they were allegedly found with a pistol and ammunition in their possession at the hostel.

Police are also investigating whether the weapon had been used in any of the shootings at Glebelands.
More than 90 people have been gunned down there in the past three years.
The hostel's been at the centre of an inquiry by the Moerane Commission currently probing political violence in the province.
