Formal training required to combat bribery, corruption: KZN Premier

KZN Premier, Willies Mchunu has emphasised the need for training to ensure that public servants do not fall into the trap of bribery and corruption.
Mchunu delivered an address at the Premier's Service Excellence Awards at the Durban ICC last night.
Mchunu says some people often get caught up in bribery and corruption unwillingly.
"They think they are just taking that 'thank you' but you end up being hooked in the most unforgiving way. Bribery starts in small doses that the conscious digests with innocence until the victim becomes a willing solicitor who is always ready to go out of the way to deliver as expected," Mchunu said.

He said the 'I do right' campaign is being rolled out across the province so communities know what services they're entitled to expect.
