Florida Road businesses shut after AKA shooting
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
Most of the businesses on Durban's Florida Road remain closed following the murder of rapper AKA and his former manager-turned-chef in the popular area.

Kiernan Forbes and Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane were gunned down in front of one of the restaurants on Friday night.
Forbes had just left the establishment when a gunman approached him and shot him at close range.
The hip-hop star, who'd recently turned 35, had been on his way to perform at a nearby club as part of his birthday celebrations.

Scores of people, including fans and artists, have been arriving at the spot where he and Motsoane died to pay their respects and leave flowers.
"There is visible police on Florida Road and a satalite station where the incident took place,” says
Renee Burton, who is the spokesperson for the Florida Road Business Precinct.
“What we want to highlight is an isolated incident and the fact that it is not indicative of the safety of the area. Businesses are just more in shock and understanding of the situation and I don't think there is any fear going forward."
