Five killed in SAPS aircraft crash

Five people have been killed in a plane crash in Gauteng.

The South African Police Service says Tuesday afternoon's accident at Rand Airport in Midrand involved one of its fixed-wing aircrafts.
“On board were five passengers and a pilot," says police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.

"All five passengers have sadly lost their lives. The pilot is critically injured and has been taken to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Authorities were on scene to establish the cause of the accident.
