Five killed in eShowe minibus crash

Five people,
including a baby, have been killed in a horrific crash in eShowe in northern
KZN.

Transport officials say a minibus taxi collided with a bakkie on the R66 on Tuesday night.
Two men, two women and an infant travelling in the taxi lost their lives.
Four more people who suffered serious to critical injuries were taken to hospital.

The department's Kwanele Ncalane says it's not yet clear where the taxi passengers were going.
"It is believed the taxi collided with a bakkie and five occupants including an infant died on the scene. Four others have sustained critical to serious injuries, and they were rushed to the nearby hospital for further medical care.
"At this stage the cause of this accident is not clear however it's been investigated."
