KZN police warns over video threatening shutdown

Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's condemned threats of a shutdown of police
stations.
In a video clip, which has been widely shared on messaging platforms, an unidentified person warns that operations at police stations in the province will be brought to a halt on the 16th of June.
"We want to reassure the public that will not allow anyone to close any police station in this province," says police spokesperson Jay Naicker.

"'We will act decisively if any attempts are made to disrupt services offered to the community at our police stations."
Naicker has asked people not to share the clip.
"Whilst we are aware that this is an old video, we appeal to members of the public to refrain from circulating this video as this will play into the hands of mysterious individuals who want to spread panic in the community."
