Five arrested for mass killings in Eastern Cape

Eastern Cape police have arrested five men linked to the killings of nine people in Kwanobuhle and Kariega.
All the men had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting incidents took place in Mabi and Zolangini streets.
Police spokesperson Pricilla Naidu says four male bodies were found inside a car in Mabi street.
"In the first incident, the bodies of four men were found inside a Mazda 323 while another body was found lying behind the vehicle in Mabi Street.

A sixth man was taken to hospital.
"In the second incident, the bodies of two men were found inside a silver VW Polo and a third outside the vehicle in Zolanqini Street.
"The vehicle was reported stolen in Humansdorp in May 2022.
"Four men, who were persons of interest, were detained on Friday for questioning and are expected to appear in court today (Monday)," adds Naidu.
