Fire breaks out in factory on Sea Cow Lake Road

Firefighters are on SeaCow Lake Road in Durban where a fire has broken out at a factory there.

Regan Stander who's with National Emergency Assist Services says the damage is extensive but purely to the exterior of the building.
Stander says the while the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage, the blaze started in a container outside when plastic piping caught alight.

"There are no injuries on scene. We are still on scene monitoring firemen for smoke inhalation but there're no injuries at this stage," he said.
