Final farewell for slain SANDF soldier

The South African soldier allegedly shot dead by her ex-boyfriend while deployed to the DRC has been laid to rest in her hometown of KwaNzimakwe - on the south coast.
Twenty-seven-year-old, Nomathemba Ngeleka was given a full military funeral.
Ngeleka’s body was returned to her family just over a week ago. Her ex-boyfriend allegedly shot her dead before trying to commit suicide last month.
He remains in hospital in the DRC. The SA National Defence Force’s Mafi Mgobozi says Ngeleka’s family is still struggling to come to terms with what happened.

"They have accepted that she is no longer there. It's God will that this happened. They have accepted that it's God will and there's nothing they can do about it," he says.
