Family want answers in Newlands bus driver's murder
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Durban bus driver who was shot and killed in Newlands West this week is being laid to rest today.
Twenty-three-year-old Sarvesh Gopichand from Sea Cow Lake was attacked on Monday night while out driving.
His uncle, Vishal Dookie says they want his killers behind bars.
"Any members of the public from the Castle Hill area that has witnessed or seen anything - please contact us directly. Basically, from what we understand, it was related to taxi violence with the burning of buses. It seems like a personal attack on the bus owners. Further to that, is upon the investigation by SAPS. So until they give an official report, we cannot officially say it's that or not," he said.
