Family of slain Zinhle Muthwa demands no bail for suspect

The father of south coast woman Zinhle Muthwa has called for swift justice in her murder case.
Her ex-boyfriend, a Metro police officer, who has been charged with murdering the 29-year-old appeared in court on Monday.

Ndumiso Khumalo will make a request for bail next week.
Muthwa, who is originally from Dududu left her New Germany home on New Year's Eve.
Her body was discovered in the Ndaya Reserve on the south coast the next day. She died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

Muthwa's father, Martin, says they are demanding no bail for the suspect.
"We are very very sad because he thought we were never going to find our child by throwing her into a hole, but fortunately we did."
"We don’t want bail because this is not a person who can reside with the community. If they release him, it will be very bad for the whole community," he said.
