'Family meeting soon': Cabinet confirms

Acting Minister in The Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni says President Cyril Ramaphosa will speak to us soon on coronavirus measures.

"We will announce the date at which the President will then host the family meeting. We can confirm to South Africans that there will be a family meeting soon."

Ntshavheni held a media briefing on Thursday on the outcomes of Cabinet's meeting on Wednesday.
"We are all noticing the numbers as they are going up in terms of infections and people are starting to notice an [up-tick] in terms of deaths.
"We are as Cabinet discussing and consulting on the measures to make sure we protect South Africans."

She says a decision will be taken soon after consultations.
