Family baffled by Stellenbosch student's murder
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Durban family is trying to figure out how their daughter's killer gained entry into what they thought was her secure fourth floor apartment, in Cape Town's affluent suburb of Sea Point.
20-year-old Robyn Pearce - who was a student at Stellenbosch University - was found stabbed to death in the flat over a week ago.

The family's lawyer, William Booth, says a forensic investigation is underway to try and find out exactly what happened.
"Items are missing, and access may have been obtained from outside. But again to say look, the object of the people who killed her was to come and rob the place, is impossible to say at this stage. Somebody who's killed, and stuff is taken, doesn't necessarily mean there's been a break-in. That's why an investigation will bring that all to life," he said.
No arrests have been made.
