Updated | By Steve Bhengu
A political analyst
believes factional battles are going to play out at the ANC's elective
conference this weekend.

Zakhele Ndlovu says it will be interesting to see how newcomer businessman Sandile Zungu navigates the world of politics.
The Amazulu football club boss, Finance MEC, Nomusa Dube-Ncube, and the party's KZN chair Sihle Zikalala are contesting the chairperson position.
Ndlovu's noted that eThekwini's former mayor Zandile Gumede continues to enjoy support in KZN, despite the corruption charges levelled against her.
Her supporters are backing her for the position of provincial treasurer.

"I find it weird and bizarre that there are all these perceptions about her. You would think that they wouldn't put her up for that position.
“They know that even if negative things can be said about these speakers like Zandile Gumede, the voters will continue to vote for the ANC.”
