LISTEN: Extremely hot weather forecast for KZN

A heat wave has hit KwaZulu-Natal's north eastern parts with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celcius.
The SA Weather Service's Wiseman Dlamini says people need to be aware that it's going to be extremely hot in the following areas.
"There's a heatwave over the north-eastern parts of KZN. We are looking at areas like Makhathini, Mandeni, Ulundi, and Babanango which are expected to be in excess of 40 degrees today," Dlamini said.
Richards Bay is expected to climb to a high of 41-degrees.
Pietermaritzburg is also experiencing blazing weather conditions - with the mercury rising to 40 and a high of 33-degrees is expected in Durban.

This morning, there are clear morning skies - becoming partly cloudy later with a 30% chance of evening showers and thundershowers.
