eThekwini says it will up its efforts in the coming weeks to keep the status of our Blue Flag beaches.

Parks and Recreation's Thembinkosi Ngcobo says they'll be pulling out all the stops to ensure the municipality does not lose Blue Flags.
"We have employed part-time staff who are going to be assisting permanent staff to clean the beaches as much as possible and maintain them to the high standards that we have - that will include our open spaces, and ablution facilities," Ngcobo said.
