eThekwini says technicians have identified the fault that has led to a power outage in large parts of Durban.

The Electricity Department's Deena Govender says the outage was caused by a connection fault at the Klaarwater substation - near Chatsworth south of Durban.
Govender says crews are working to restore power to affected areas.
