Municipality officials says electricity has been restored to some parts of the city following this morning's massive power outage in the eThekwini region - affecting both homes and businesses.
The lights have switched off north of the city - that's in Phoenix, and Umhlanga.
Areas inner west of the city - Pinetown, Westville, Hillcrest and Kloof - have been affected while Umbilo, Merebank and Rossburgh on the south have been left in the dark.
We are aware of the power outage affecting most areas around the City. Electricity has been restored in some areas. Areas which are not yet restored will be restored shortly. Our technicians are on site investigating the problem. We will keep you updated. We apologize for this.
