eThekwini working to restore water to north of Durban
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
eThekwini Municipality says officials are working around the clock to restore water supply to areas in the north of Durban.
It's after a 24-hour maintenance shutdown at the Durban Heights Water Treatment Plant was carried out this week.
Teams carried out repairs to Aqueduct-2.

The large pipeline, which supplies raw water to the plant for purification, was washed away during the April floods in 2022.
Ward 35 councillor Nicole Bollman says several areas between Durban North and Umhlanga have since been receiving minimal or no water.
"Reservoirs will be out for about about a week to ensure the reservoir will be full."
eThekwini says water will be fully restored by Sunday and that tankers will be dispatched to affected areas.
