eThekwini water woes disrupt MUT student registration
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Water challenges in eThekwini have put a damper on student registrations at Umlazi's Mangosuthu University of Technology.

The varsity's had no water since last week.
The MUT's Mbali Mkhize says the water outages have disrupted the institution's day-to-day operations.
"As things stand right now, we have had to postpone the registration of returning students until 5 February, and for first-time entering students, we are registering them and hopeful by 4 February we should have registered all of them."
She says they're having to work remotely again.
"We have put measures in place on remote teaching and learning and with regards to staff, of the staff members are currently working from home.
"The only staff members on campus would be those that will help us to keep the campus clean and the finance staff and staff that are conducting the registration."
Mkhize says the city's still trying to identify the problem.
