Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Authorities from Durban's fire department are anticipating another long day as they continue in their efforts to put out a warehouse fire that started yesterday morning in the south of the city.
The fire on South Coast Road although still alight in Rossburgh has been contained. The number of fire fighting crew members has also been reduced to 80 from about 150. them
The fire broke out a little before 10am yesterday - with a total of three people injured in the incident.
Durban residents together with local businesses and Gift of the Givers rallied to support the firefighters on scene - providing food and water.

Roads that were closed yesterday - including South Coast Road between the M7 and Bayhead and later the M4 - have since been re-opened.
eThekwini Fire Chief, Commander Enoch Mchunu says there's still some way to go before the inferno is completely extinguished.
"Right now, we're focusing on the area where we stopped it from spreading. We will then continue to damp down the entire burnt area. It's a very, very large area and it's not going to be easy to extinguish the fire completely today. We will assess the situation as the day goes. We might still go through the night tonight as well," he said.
