eThekwini to revise problem-hit orange bag service

eThekwini Municipality says it's taking action to make sure its orange bag service does not collapse.
The programme has been plagued by issues since its inception.
Many residents are complaining about the bags not being collected or delivered.

"We acknowledge that there are some challenges with this programme," says city spokesperson Lindiwe Khuzwayo.
"This is why the cleansing and solid waste unit has drafted a strategy to revitalise the programme and ensure its sustainability.
"This strategy will be presented at the June meeting of the human settlements and infrastructure committee for its consideration before final council approval."
