eThekwini officials say the extension of the Durban promenade is well on track to be completed by November 2019.
The promenade that already covers the distance of the city's Gold Mile - will extend from the Blue Lagoon to the Durban port.
Construction began in January, this year, with 275 employees that have been brought on board, and 17 sub-contractors working on the project.
The R300 million expansion project forms part of the R35 billion Point Waterfront Development - an agreement undertaken by Transnet and KwaZulu Cruise Terminal that will see the construction of a cruise terminal facility at the port.
The city's Philip Sithole says no issues have been reported - following their latest official site visit.
