"Based on the units that will be coming back over this week, so we will be in a better situation around about Thursday evening and then Friday,” he said.
"We are hoping that we will reassess and see. Be we believe that an opportunity to stop load shedding will be there certainly by Thursday evening, Friday morning."

eThekwini will remain off the load shedding schedule after the heavy rains that lashed the city and other parts of the province last week.
"The amount of load that is currently out on outage is almost equal to what would have required from load shedding blocks on the basis on that the arrangement that we had with eThekwini is that we will not load shed," said Eskom's Monde Bala.
