says a man has been handed over to police after he was allegedly found in
possession of large packets of drugs during a clean-up operation in the city.

Metro police allegedly found the cannabis in the man's vehicle at a checkpoint near the Bisasar Landfill Site in Springfield.

"The checkpoint was introduced during the start of the Bisasar clean-up operation recently and is operated by the city’s law enforcement officers."
Khuzwayo says the man was handed over to Sydenham police.
She says tonnes of waste that have been illegally dumped by residents and businesses were collected outside the landfill site.
