Eskom warns of more load shedding this week
Updated | By Natarah Nadesan
Eskom says our national power system remains under severe pressure - with a high probability of load shedding.
The utility imposed Stage 1 power cuts from 5pm until 10pm on Wednesday - due to a shortage of generation capacity.
Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the outlook for the rest of the week is likely to remain the same.

"A further 2 220MW is unavailable due to planned maintenance. Eskom teams are working to return more generators to service as soon as possible.
"Should the generators not return as expected, further load shedding might be required during the week."
