Eskom says reports of possible power cuts untrue
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Eskom has denied some reports in the media that it's operating at a low capacity and that Stage 1 loadshedding is on its way back.

The utility's responded to a number of publications which quoted energy experts saying that Eskom is struggling to meet its demand.
The power producer's Dikatso Mothae says while it's no secret that Eskom isn't in an ideal situation but citizens must remember that lights have been kept on throughout winter - the most demanding period.
"We are now over half way through Winter. We have not had to go into load shedding. That's largely because we have been able to limit our unplanned outages jut below 9500 megawatts. We are hopeful that throughout the rest of Winter we will be able to avoid load shedding," Mothae said.
